I'm a California native, grew up in Silicon Valley and went away to college in San Diego where I met my husband and never left. I've always been a bit of a control-freak, perfectionist with a little self-diagnosed OCD thrown in. I hate the term "foodie", but would probably be described as one. Anthropologie is my absolute favorite store and I have five beautiful babies - baby chickens that is.
Professionally, I put my BA in Communication and MA in Organizational Management to good use as the Director of Customer Success & Operations for a thriving San Diego software company. My days are filled with planning, organizing and optimizing the business while also (hopefully) making our customers smile.
Somehow, the man of my untapped dreams turned out to be the complete opposite of me in most areas - except for our addiction to travel! The son of a South African native dad and an adventurous, world traveled mom, he learned how to explore new places for months at a time on a low budget, but packed with culture and new experiences. Coupled with my desire for planning, high quality and pretty things, we have spent our marriage (and our money) seeing what the world has to offer. Often letting our stomaches lead the way, we embrace the touristy spots for what they're worth and always try to find unique adventures in unlikely locations.
