Last fall I provided you with my Travel Guide to Edinburgh for First Timers, but it just scratched the surface of all that Scotland has to offer. As I begin to look ahead at next year's travel plans, Scotland is definitely on my list so I thought I'd provide you with even more amazing sights to explore based on some expert opinions. My favorite European elite car rental company, GP Luxury Car Hire, recently wrote this list of Natural Sights to Discover in Scotland which I'll be using for my next visit and thought I'd share it.  Their recommendations of these beautiful places makes me want to jump on a flight right now... but since that's not an option, I'll just have to dream about them until next year. Hopefully you won't have to wait that long ~ Happy Travels!

Natural sights to discover in Scotland

written by GP Luxury Car Hire

The country of Scotland is located in the northern area of the United Kingdom. Scotland is home to 800 small islands. At a glance, Scotland has its unique treasures where people could uncover rugged landscapes and turbulent history. With lots of natural attractions, everyone could enjoy active sightseeing in Scotland. In the event you want to find vacation ideas, there are many things to do and see for every age and every interest there.

Fingal's Cave

This is one of the most incredible places in Scotland. If you are looking for a unique experience, it is a must see. Fingal's Cave is stunning and is formed by fabulous hexagonal basalt rocks. Indeed, the rock structure of the cave is unique as the cave is higher and deeper, creating a natural cathedral effect. With the vibrant blue of the water and the colors in the rocks, this place is very gorgeous and is not to be missed. While visiting this amazing cave, you could have the opportunity to take photos, but be sure to have a waterproof camera. In addition, if you want to go there, you should take a toured boat trip or if you want, you can travel to the island of Staffa and hike into the cave.

Loch Lomond

Loch Lomond is situated in the heart of Scotland's first National Park. The diversity of landscapes in Loch Lomond are not to be missed; it is a wonderful place to relax with your family, friends or just for yourself. You could go to the Cashel Millennium Forest that has 800 acres of Scots pine and other mesmerizing broadleaf trees. Here, you an try many water sports like canoeing, sailing, jet skiing, wake boarding, wake skating or water skiing and you can even find cruisers and yachts. You can tour the entire Loch Lomond area and discover other destinations in the UK by renting a car at gpluxurycarhire. It will help you to explore historical and tourist attractions in the country.

Arthur’s Seat

Situated in Edinburgh, Arthur’s Seat is highly recommended. It is one of the seven hills in the city of Edinburgh. It is also an ancient volcano with a beautiful green space and it is around a 250m walk up. A diverse range of flora can be found here and there are also various trails fit for all levels when you visit this park. Here, you will get an excellent panoramic view of the entire city and is the perfect spot to be during sunset. Thus, if you want to experience a proper hill walk in the heart of Edinburgh, this place is the best one.

Ben Nevis

Ben Nevis is the highest mountain in the United Kingdom, attracts a large number of visitors each year and is close to the town of Fort William in Scotland. This extraordinary place deserves to be visited because there is so much to do in this area. You can hike the mountain, find little cafes as well as a play park at the mid point there. The views are incredible so you'll have the opportunity to take gorgeous photos during your climb. However, even if you are not a climber, you will appreciate the views of the North face cliffs which are breathtaking. You won't want to miss the amazing experience of visiting the tallest mountain in Scotland.

Ready to host 30 of our loved ones for a Thanksgiving feast on this rainy day with a sincere hope that everyone leaves with more than just a full belly, but filled with memories of laughter, joy, generosity and a heart full of thanks for all we have been blessed with this year and always. Special thanks to @ashlyncarter for the tablescape inspiration 😘

The best food I’ve ever had has always been about way more than what I could taste. The best food has heart and comes from passionate hands that prepare it, from the farmers in the fields to the chefs in the kitchen and we truly experienced that tonight. At @room4dessert_wg the 21 courses were divine, but it’s the conversations and many smiles we shared with the staff that will leave a lasting impression, well after our food comas subside. Many thanks to John, Chef Will and the incredible team that puts so much love into all that they do and for giving us our favorite night in Bali. #bali #travelblogger #bestreataurantinbali #ubud #dessert #bestrestaurants #chefstable #netflix #luxurytravel #room4dessert #room4dessertubud
